Samara and Wegman Earn CPA Credential

Christian Samara and Brian Wegman, of Dermody, Burke & Brown, CPAs, LLC, have successfully completed the certification process to earn their designation as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Christian Samara joined the firm in 2016 as an Associate in the Tax Department.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Le Moyne College.  Prior to joining the Firm, Christian worked as an intern in the Tax Department at Dermody, Burke & Brown. He is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Christian resides in Syracuse.

Brian Wegman joined Dermody, Burke & Brown in 2016 as an Associate in both the Tax and the Auditing & Accounting Departments. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management and Social Entrepreneurship from Roberts Wesleyan College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from State University of New York at Oswego.  Prior to joining the Firm, Brian worked in the Banking Industry before moving on to intern at Dermody, Burke & Brown. He is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Brian resides in Martville.

The CPA license is the accounting profession’s highest standard of competence, a symbol of achievement and assurance of quality.  To earn the prestige associated with the CPA license, one is required to demonstrate knowledge and competence by meeting high educational standards, passing the CPA exam and completing a specific amount of public accounting experience.
