About Joel
Joel is a Principal at Dermody, Burke & Brown, CPAs, with more than 40 years of public accounting experience. He provides comprehensive tax planning, preparation, and consulting services to individuals, businesses, and their owners. His areas of expertise include business and personal income tax planning, tax compliance, and advisory services designed to help clients navigate complex financial and tax matters with confidence.
Joel has worked closely with privately held businesses and individual taxpayers, delivering solutions tailored to their circumstances. His experience and commitment to client service have enabled him to build long-standing relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
Education & Professional Certifications
Joel received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from SUNY Plattsburgh. He is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Joel served as treasurer and as a board trustee for Teugega Country Club, Inc. He also served as treasurer of Lake Delta Yacht Club., Inc.
