Lori Ciarla is a Principal in the Audit & Assurance department at DB&B.  With more than 25 years of public accounting experience, she provides audit, accounting, and advisory services to not-for-profit and governmental organizations, as well as employee benefit plans. Lori leads the firm’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit Practice, overseeing audits for a wide range of plans, including single-employer, multi-employer, defined contribution, defined benefit, and health and welfare plans.

As the firm’s designated lead for the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center, Lori plays an integral role in maintaining audit quality and regulatory compliance within the firm’s employee benefit plan practice.  She also co-leads the firm’s Affordable Housing Audit Practice,  leveraging her experience in HUD auditing and compliance matters. In addition, Lori is actively involved in the firm’s employee recruitment initiatives, helping to attract, develop, and retain talented professionals.

Education and Professional Certifications 

Lori graduated from Le Moyne College and is a member of both the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She earned the AICPA Not-for-Profit Certificate I designation and is a member of the AICPA Not-for-Profit section.  Lori serves as Treasurer and Executive Committee member of  Francis House.
