Erica Muscatello

Erica Muscatello joined Dermody, Burke & Brown in 2013. As the Marketing Manager, she is responsible for the growth and advancement of the Firm through internal and external communications, public relations, advertising, and marketing planning.With over 10 years of industry experience, Erica specializes in digital marketing techniques such as social media strategy, content creation, and web analysis and maintenance for maximized optimization. Through the Firm, she also provides marketing consulting and support to clients on social media strategy, public relations, ad/marketing collateral design, and basic web analysis and design.

Erica holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, with a Concentration in Marketing, from Towson University and a Master of Science Degree in New Media Management from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.She is a Board of Managers member for the Northwest YMCA and is a member of the Communications Committee for the Metro YMCA. Erica is a Steering Committee member and Chair of the Marketing, Communications/Social Media Committee for the United Way of CNY Young Leaders United (YLU). She also co-leads the Young Professionals Committee and the Wellness Committee at Dermody, Burke & Brown. Erica was awarded the Central New York 40 Under Forty Award in 2017.

Pennie Gorney

Pennie Gorney joined Dermody, Burke & Brown in 2004. As the Director of Marketing, Pennie is responsible for leading the firm’s marketing and new business development efforts and is involved in the development of the firm’s overall strategic plan. She also consults and advises clients to help them identify, respond and secure market position. Pennie’s broad experience scans over 30 years and encompasses advertising, sales and developing integrated marketing programs for Fortune 500 companies regionally, nationally and internationally.

Pennie currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Business Development and Marketing Committee for Allinial Global and also serves on the Marketing Cabinet of the United Way of Central New York. She is a Board Member of The Syracuse University Hardwood Club and the Kara Fund. Pennie served on The Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Syracuse for over 10 years and received the President’s Award in 2006 and the National Service Award to Youth in 2007. She also received the Women in Business Award of Central NY in 2007. Pennie is a graduate of Syracuse University.

As a guest lecturer at area colleges, Pennie has written articles for local, regional and national publications on a variety of subjects and was featured in the book Designing and Producing a Television Commercial, by Larry Elin and Alan Lapides.
